THOSE THAT WILL BE WITH US ALWAYS...
When I first started the rescue, I never planned on offering sanctuary.
The goal was always to "rescue, rehab, rehome."
However, so many have come to us who deserve a last place to call home for several reasons, so we have in fact started to offer sanctuary to those most in need!
If you would like to sponsor one of our sanctuary horses, please contact us! Thank you!

GOLIATH

Mini gelding, 32 inches

8 years

Goliath came from a local Montana

auction where dozens of mini horses were

auctioned off so we decided to help one

get out of the auction pipeline.

He joined a local family for their grandkids,

but after a while they contacted us to take him back.

We gladly did and made GOLIATH our mini-ambassador who joins one of our big guys during senior home visits and the elderly love it! Goliath is here to stay!

HONEY

*** proudly sponsored by an anonymous sponsor, thank you***

Belgian mare

17hh

Age: early twenties

1800sh pounds

Honey came to us in January of 2021, and

was owned by a horse trader.
She is completely blind and is extremely

people shy, scared to death of human

touch. She is here to liveout her life with her pasture mates, all of whom she gets along with nicely. Her best friend is Royal, our blind Belgian gelding.

DALE

Clydesdale gelding
17hh+

Age: mid teens

1700sh pounds

Dale came to us from a local Montana

auction. He was owned by a dealer who sold

him because he was "too much horse" for him.

He has been here since May of 2021 and is still

very skittish and scared of humans and human touch. We have decided to keep him here at the rescue based on his own wish, as per our animal communicator.

ROYAL

Belgian gelding

17.3hh

Age: around 10

2000 pounds

Royal came to us from a Texas horse trader

at the beginning of 2021.
We could not say no to this handsome boy

in need of a loving home. While it was originally our goal to find

Royal a forever home, after he had been adopted for a few months, I repossessed him because of a misunderstanding with

the adopter, just to find out she had starved him and some of his

friends. Royal has in the meantime gained all his weight back and

will stay at the rescue to live out his days, knowing he is well loved

and taken care of.

SMITH & WESSON

Belgian geldings
17hh

Age: early/mid twenties

1700sh pounds

This team came to us from a Texas auction.

They are pretty much untouchable unless you

run them through a chute. Very leary of people,

which is so sad. We have no history on them, but they are here

to live out their lives.

Beau

Percheron gelding
17hh

Age: mid twenties

1700 pounds
AT OUR FOSTER HOME IN FLORENCE/MT

We have no history on Beau who came to us from an auction, but

he is the absolute lovebug and he loves kids! His downfall would be that he needs to be trimmed on the table as he will absolutely not stand for the farrier. He is an older boy with a big heart, who gets to live out his well deserved days with us!

Age: mid twenties

1700 pounds
Patch's Place/Dish, Texas

Lady caem to us from the Elkhart/Texas auction and has been diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis.

She will live out her life with our friends at Patch's Place in Dish/Texas, our exclusive 1H@AT Draft Sanctuary partner!

Rio

Registered QH gelding
15hh

Age: 23 years

1000 pounds
AT OUR FOSTER HOME FLORENCE/MT

Rio came to us in 2021 after his owner passed

away. He was very loved and very well trained

and it didn't take him long to find a new family who wanted to love him forever - until they couldn't love him anymore and returned him. Rio was then adopted again by another family a while later - and returned again due to personal reasons. Rio will

now live out his life with us and his best friend Ribbons

Ribbons

QH mare
15hh

Age: mid twenties

1100 pounds
AT OUR FOSTER HOME IN FLORENCE/MT

Ribbons came to us from a working ranch and after an injury, she does not stay sound anymore and therefore was of no value

anymore. Ribbons will be spending the rest of her days here with her best friend Rio!

CHEYENNE

PAINT MARE
16hh

Age: early twenties

1300 pounds
At our foster home in Florence/MT

Cheyenne came to us from a local auction with overgrown feet

and some eye issues. She was adopted by a local family - only to be returned a few months later because she spooked and ran through a fence, scaring the deaf owner. Cheyenne rides beautifully but does need a very understanding owner who will care for her recurring eye infection and who will provide for her limited eye-sight. After cutting herself up pretty badly recently, we decided it is best for Cheyenne to live out her life with us, just being a horse!
